La auditoría fue realizada por el servicio alemán TÜV SÜD Industrie, una organización acreditada e independiente, parte del grupo TÜV SÜD, con presencia mundial, que revisó la seguridad, calidad y sostenibilidad de los productos y sistemas de Haru-Oni, y tiene una validez de un año.
La planta de eFuels comenzó la producción de sus primeros litros de combustibles sintéticos en diciembre de 2022, integrando diversas tecnologías y demostrando que la producción de gasolina neutra en carbono es posible y una herramienta eficaz para luchar contra el cambio climático. Haru Oni es la primera planta "Power-to-X" de América Latina en obtener con éxito la certificación ISCC-Plus. Esta certificación permite el acceso a diferentes mercados y clientes que desean aplicar estándares de sostenibilidad y descarbonización mediante el uso de eFuels (por ejemplo, Unión Europea, Reino Unido, Japón y otros), siendo un elemento crítico y fundamental para el valor añadido del producto.
Los eFuels se producen con energía renovable, hidrógeno verde y CO2 reciclado. Son químicamente equivalentes a los combustibles convencionales, por lo que pueden utilizarse en motores e infraestructuras existentes, siendo un sustituto directo de los combustibles fósiles.
HIF Global está aprovechando su experiencia en Haru Oni y aplicándola a escala mundial para desarrollar su cartera de proyectos en Chile, Uruguay, Estados Unidos y Australia.
