El acuerdo prevé la entrega de aproximadamente 22,5 a 37,5 millones de litros de eGasolina al año desde la futura planta de HIF Cabo Negro eFuels, que se ubicará en el sur de Chile, lo que representa entre el 30% y el 50% de su producción anual.
La capacidad de almacenamiento, distribución y refinación de Enap les permitirá distribuir este nuevo producto utilizando su estructura logística en el país, además de explorar otras oportunidades de colaboración relacionadas con futuras instalaciones de HIF en el sur de Chile.

El eMetanol y la eGasolina son combustibles neutros en carbono fabricados mediante la combinación de hidrógeno verde y CO2 reciclado. Son químicamente equivalentes al metanol y la gasolina actuales y, por tanto, pueden utilizarse en las infraestructuras existentes sin necesidad de modificar los motores.
HIF Cabo Negro, que inició su proceso de evaluación ambiental hace unas semanas, tiene una capacidad de producción de 173.600 toneladas anuales de eMetanol y 75 millones de litros anuales de eGasolina. Estará ubicada en el complejo industrial Cabo Negro de Enap, en Punta Arenas, Chile, y se alimentará con energía renovable del futuro Parque Eólico Faro del Sur.
